Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026
Shepherd AI ("we", "us") builds tools that help pastors prepare sermons and ministry content. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it. If you have questions, contact support@shepherd.ai.
Information we collect
- Account data — name, email, and password hash (or Google identity) used to sign in.
- Content you create — sermons, notes, knowledge base uploads, and Copilot prompts.
- Billing data — handled by Stripe; we store only a customer reference and subscription status.
- Usage data — page views, feature usage, device/browser type. Used to improve the product.
How we use it
- Provide and secure the service.
- Generate AI content you request (prompts are sent to our AI provider to fulfill the request).
- Process subscriptions and issue receipts through Stripe.
- Communicate account, security, and product updates.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share limited data only with the processors we rely on to run the service: Stripe (payments), Lovable Cloud (hosting/database), and our AI Gateway (model inference). Each is bound by contract to protect your data.
Retention
Account and content data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by emailing us; billing records may be retained as required by law.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data by contacting support@shepherd.ai. If you are in the EEA/UK you have rights under GDPR; if you are in California you have rights under the CCPA.
Security
We use TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, row-level authorization, and least-privilege access to your data. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Shepherd AI is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK).
Changes
We will update this page when the policy changes and update the "Last updated" date above.
